In 2012, Sapp filed for bankruptcy after claiming to have owed $7 million in debt to not only the IRS, but also to four women as child support, and medical bills. His life has taken an unfortunate turn due to irresponsible actions, and sadly, Sapp has no one to blame but himself.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. – $30 Million
He might be a former record-setting boxer, but that didn’t stop Floyd Mayweather Jr. from going deep in debt. By 2017, he owed around $30 million to IRS in taxes. Speaking of someone that has earned up to $300 million in a year, we can’t possibly imagine how he could find himself with such a debt!

On top of his affection for gambling, Floyd also has a thing for fancy cars and houses. He lives $10-million home in Las Vegas and has owned cars like a $4.8-million Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita. Floyd’s still worth $560 million. In 2020 he took part in Zab Judan: The Outlaw of Boxing documentary.
Mike Tyson – $23 Million
Through boxing, Mike Tyson has earned around $300 million. However, his entire fortune right now is estimated at $3 million. We shouldn’t be surprised to hear that, after all, in 2003, he filed for bankruptcy, being $23 million in debt, both from his unpaid taxes and from his divorce settlement!

Mike’s since been able to bounce back. Ever since 2014, he has been making the Mike Tyson Mysteries series. He won his first belt when he was 20 years old, and now that he’s 54, he took part in Double or Nothing by All Elite Wrestling.
Kim Basinger – $8 Million
Before anyone panics, Kim Basinger might not have acted in a while now, but she’s doing alright financially. Basinger’s currently estimated to be worth around $40 million. It wasn’t always peachy for her, though, as she came close to being broke once. In the ’90s, she was going to be starring in the Boxing Helena film.

She got the part after Madonna dropped out last minute. Once she accepted the role, however, she tried changing the script, which resulted in a lawsuit by the production company. Basinger had to pay the studio around $8 million, which caused her to go bankrupt. They later settled for $3.8 million.
Burt Reynolds – $10 Million
Just before he got his Oscar nomination with Boogie Nights, the infamous Burt Reynolds was going through a rough patch. He was never fully able to jump back from his debt, and at the moment of his death in 2018, he was worth just $3 million.

His financial troubles started shortly after his divorce to Loni Anderson. By 1996 he was $10 million into debt and filing for bankruptcy. Reynolds had spent in luxuries like a 153-acre ranch in Jupiter, mansions in the 90210 and Malibu, horses, and racecars. The last film in which he ever played is yet to be released, called Defining Moments.
